OUR FIRST SESSION

During the first session, we will talk about the concerns that are bringing you to therapy. We can both decide if I am the best person to work with you to meet your treatment goals. We can also begin to work together to develop therapy goals to guide the work that we will do.

WEEKLY SESSIONS

During weekly therapy sessions, we will use active problem-solving strategies to help you make desired changes to meet your goals, while also learning how to effectively engage with experiences or things that cannot be changed.

The overall goal of therapy is to improve the quality of your life. As such, you will also be asked to practice strategies learned with me in between our weekly sessions.

BENEFITS AND CHALLENGES

Therapy can help you to identify when a change would be helpful and provide encouragement and strategies to facilitate desired changes. Making meaningful changes to one’s life can be challenging and uncomfortable at times, yet very much worth the effort!
